However, we ask that students, in particular, read the following before e-mailing us: | Holds | The Registrar does not place or remove Holds on student records. For information on how to check your holds and determine which office you should contact, visit Holds / View Holds Screen. | | Permits | The Registrar cannot issue class permits--only academic departments can. For information on Permits, including departmental contact information, please visit our Requesting a Class Permit page. | | Transcripts | If you have a question about your U of M transcript, then the Registrar is the office to contact. However, if you have a question about your high school transcript or your transcript from another university, then Admissions is the office to contact. | | Questions? | The University's Ask TOM service provides answers to the most commonly asked questions.
