| Purpose |
The purpose of this award is to recognize the outstanding contributions and achievements of full-time, undergraduate students who are employed as student employees at the University of Memphis while attending the University of Memphis. |
| Requirements |
Nominees must be full-time, undergraduate, degree-seeking students and have at least one regular semester of employment as a student worker at the University of Memphis. Nominees must be currently working part-time (less than 30 hours per week) for the University of Memphis as paid, student assistants. Generally student workers may be classified as "Work-Study" or institutional hourly wage. Nominees must be in good academic standing at the University of Memphis. Nominators must be regular, full-time faculty or staff at the University of Memphis. |
When Awarded? |
Academic Affairs Awards Committee at the University of Memphis has designated the last full week of classes in April as Student Appreciation Week. The winner will be announced at an Awards Ceremony at the end of April. |
Selection Criteria |
Students will be evaluated on the following qualities: (1) Reliability, (2) Quality of Work, (3) Initiative, (4) Professionalism, and, (5) Uniqueness of Contribution. |
How to Nominate |
Nominations may be submitted by printing the PDF form (below) and submitting it to the Student Employment Office (Wilder Tower Room 104). Submission deadline is April 11, 2008. |
Who Selects the Honoree? |
A committee of representatives from each of the major divisions on campus reads the nominations and selects the winner of this award. |
Award |
The winner will receive a $500 bookstore scholarship and a plaque. |
